Enlightened Dad's Comics Capture Exactly What We Hope Men Are Teaching Kids

The cartoonist hopes they will have a positive impact on families and the world.

Chris Grady wants to show the world that it's never too early to teach kids about empathy and being tolerant to others.

The Canadian cartoonist, teacher and father uses his comics to not only express his hilarious views on parenting, but to also discuss important social messages. He frequently touches on topics like respecting other people's bodies and treating everyone with kindness.

In an interview with the Huffington Post, Chris explained that he bases his comics on real-world concerns. “I think it is impossible not to be influenced by the world around you. There [are] a lot of bad things happening in the world, but there is also a lot of good,” he said. “I try to find the good or humorous in the difficult things that happen to us every day.”

He also mentioned that he hopes the comics show children that anyone can be a source of positivity. “Nobody is powerless in this world—as humans we have the ability to change another person’s day by what we put out,” he said.

Last April, Chris published a book of comics titled Lunarbaboon: The Daily Life of Parenthood. In addition to his website, you can also follow Chris' work on his Facebook and Webtoons pages. Here are some of our favorites with positive messages that every child should hear:
